Wirambi Landcare Limited is a not-for-profit charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We exist to educate, engage and empower the community in the conservation of WA's unique biodiversity.
Wirambi Landcare was founded in June 2018 by a small group of ecologists, teachers and long-time volunteers who wanted a nimble, community-first alternative to top-down conservation. We began with a single revegetation site on the Swan Coastal Plain — 300 seedlings, one weekend, twelve people.
Seven years later, we run programs across the Perth metropolitan area and into regional WA — from Albany and Esperance in the south, through Margaret River, Busselton and Dawesville, and up to Broome and Geraldton in the north. What has not changed is our belief that healthy ecosystems are built one relationship at a time.
We formally acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
Every project is grounded in ecological evidence, monitoring and open data.
We work with, not for, the communities whose landscapes we help care for.
Ecosystems take decades to recover. We commit to sites for the long haul.

A passionate ecologist with over 15 years of experience in Western Australian conservation, Kim founded Wirambi Landcare to unite community and science in protecting local ecosystems.
Ellen leads our flora and fauna survey program, bringing a decade of experience in Banksia woodland and Jarrah forest ecology.
Rohan coordinates our volunteer program and community field days across the Perth Metropolitan region.
Sarah develops and delivers our schools and TAFE programs, connecting classrooms to the bush.
